Nope, that's fine.  Git history seems adequate to me.

It would be nice though if that section mentioned that there have been
recent changes though, and that for a full revision log, you should
look at [github change history URL].  Otherwise it's a bit misleading
thinking that the document hasn't been updated in a few years.
