I'm in favour of both changes. As for qualified builtin types: Yes,
they should be available for substitution. I couldn't see the point in
substituting, say, Pi (int*), but not substituting VKi. IOW, the
exception should be only for primitive types as such. As a result,
int** introduces two entries into the dictionary instead of three.
