Following is an updated agenda. The status pages are updated and on
the web at:
http://reality.sgi.com/dehnert_engr/cxx/cxx-summary.html
The contact info page is now also there, in password-protected PDF only
for privacy. The password is "not an orc".
The agenda is based on these priorities:
A) Exception handling.
B) Data layout.
C) Mangling.
So, take a look at the material associated with these issues:
1) D-10: Exceptions. The primary changes in my writeup are in
color, and we'll go over them, primarily reason codes and the
_Unwind_ForcedUnwind definition. Answer the "Outstanding
Questions" at the beginning of the document.
2) D-11: Reminder to Christophe to provide a list of pthreads
functions required and their interfaces (e.g. man pages).
3) D-12: Unwind table location. (I have called Cary but not
heard from him.)
4) D-13: This should be closed along with D-10. But promised a
description of thread cancellation a while back, and Christophe
promised a writeup as another example for _Unwind_ForcedUnwind.
5) D-14: I think I should have closed this.
6) A-19: Primary virtual base classes. Does the writeup in the
layout document look OK? Note the email from Coleen and Jason.
7) A-20: Operator new array cookies. Does the proposed resolution
look OK?
8) A-*: Go over the colored items in the layout document for
validation. I've switched terminology to super-polymorphic -- any
better ideas? Cary suggests simple vs. complex classes, which
would also be OK.
9) A-*: Nathan raised several questions about RTTI. Let's go
through them and either answer them or identify issues.
10) F-*: Mangling. We have a proposal from Daveed. Let's start
the discussion.
11) A-21: Placement new array cookies. Read Matt's description.
Can we decide what to do? What we need to decide?
Issues that are active and awaiting proposals:
a) C-4: Daveed will write up construction vtables so we can
verify. Wait.
